POC’s Tectal Race is a highly ventilated helmet designed to exceed the demands of the most aggressive trail and enduro riders with a series of innovated safety features.

POC are a Swedish company, and without being overly stereotypical, the Swedes are renowned for their ability to make safety equipment that sets new standards. Just look at the seat belt… thanks to this Swedish invention a life is saved every 6 seconds. POC have taken this heritage for ingenuity and invention to design new innovative protective equipment for the most demanding bikes riders.

The POC Tectal is a highly vented helmet with extended protective coverage down the back and over the temples. The in-mold shell offers more durability and keeps the lid looking fresh for longer by protecting the EPS foam liner. The EPS is further protected and supported by the use of an Aramid fibre grid.

POC’s lightweight adjustment system allows for a highly comfortable and customisable fit. Also the visor is adjustable to tune the protection from the elements, plus there is a handy goggle clip included. POC have designed the ventilation system to be as effective as possible, even going as far as to test it in the wind tunnel to make sure that this helmet has great cooling performance.

A Recco reflector is also included. The Recco rescue system is a two-part system used by ski resorts and mountain rescue teams that in the case of an incident sends a directional signal out that can be picked up by a receiver used by the rescue team to lead them straight to the site.
